Honoring the Fallen This Memorial Day

On this Memorial Day, we pause to remember the brave men and women of our armed forces who gave their lives in service to our country. Their courage, sacrifice, and devotion to the cause of freedom have shaped the nation we are privileged to live in today.

Because of them, we enjoy liberties that are rare in human history — the freedom to speak, to gather, and to advocate for the principles we hold dear. As Republicans, we never take that for granted. We know that our ability to participate in public life, to stand up for limited government, strong communities, and individual liberty, is possible only because others have paid the ultimate price.

As we enjoy time with family and friends today, let us also reflect on the solemn meaning of this day. And let us recommit ourselves to ensuring that the America they fought for remains strong, free, and worthy of their sacrifice.
