ICE Arrests Reveal Public Safety Crisis in Blaine County
The ICE Twin Falls Sub-Office recently arrested the following individuals in Blaine County. They are now facing deportation.
- Jorge Duenas-Quinto, 31, of Peru — Child enticement, sexual battery, DUI
- Jordy Lerma-Quintero, 27, of Mexico — Grand theft, marijuana possession, public intoxication
- Jhon Tenorio-Orihuela, 25, of Peru — Felony domestic violence
- Brayan Chanco-Vilcapoma, 24, of Peru — DUI and other prior criminal activity
- Edu Mayorca-Curi, 31, of Peru — DUI
These arrests highlight the dangerous consequences of so-called “Safe Communities” policies in Hailey, Ketchum, and Bellevue — policies that violate Idaho state law and block cooperation with federal immigration enforcement, even when public safety is at risk.
Worse, groups like The Alliance and Poder of Idaho pressure local governments to maintain these reckless policies because they benefit politically and financially from shielding illegal immigrants. Their narrative about “building trust” comes at the expense of real victims: children, families, and law-abiding residents now facing rising threats in our own neighborhoods.
ICE is forced to operate without support from local law enforcement, and Blaine County’s elected leaders refuse to act.
The Blaine County Republican Party demands immediate action:
- Rescind all “sanctuary” resolutions in Hailey, Ketchum, and Bellevue.
- Direct the Blaine County Sheriff’s Office to fully cooperate with ICE.
Enough is enough. Blaine County deserves leaders who put public safety first.
