Standing Up for Free Speech and Against Political Violence
The assassination attempt on President Donald J. Trump was a wake up call for America. The Blaine County Republican Party believes it is important to take a stand and demonstrate that as Americans we can all exercise our free speech rights and participate in the political process through rallies and voting, and violence has no place in American politics.
Our hearts go out to the families of the Americans who were killed or injured at the rally in Pennsylvania, and the best thing we can do to honor the victims is continue exercising the First Amendment rights that they were enjoying before tragedy struck.
Approximately 50 people showed up to rally and march through Hailey on Sunday, July 14. We sincerely appreciate the dozens of drivers who honked and cheered with us. Our local party is growing every week, and we look forward to continuing to spread a positive message of limited government and individual freedom leading up to Election Day and beyond.
